We have to stress to our kids that clean energy is the future. And yes, (because I can already hear this argument bubbling up) it IS part of a natural cycle as illustrated here BUT we are clearly, scientifically helping the process happen more rapidly. The long term economic ramifications of human displacement from coastal areas alone will far exceed the short term Fossil Fuel jobs salvaged now. It's not and won't be easy but we have to embrace it and get on the right side of history for our own children's sake, if for nothing else. Again, Fossil Fuels in the ground contain Carbon, when those are dug up and burned we put an unusually large amount of that Carbon back into the atmosphere along with all of the above and Carbon heats up planets. It is very simple. With Love,Kyle
