In pop culture, the art form of guitar solos has always intrigued me for obvious reasons. We get to know them in our favorite songs as a little vacuum that needs to be filled. And my favorite ones feel almost like a song within a song. But it can be challenging to say exactly what you want to say especially when the window of time is very short, which is usually the case in Pop music. I like that challenge though, because of course you can say everything you want in an extended jam song but that that little window requires a concise statement that can hold a lot of personality. That said, I may have played my favorite 4 bar solo just now. Thanks to @josiahrosen for randomly having me contribute to his project or else it may have never arrived. Share with me in the comments some of your favorite guitar solos over the years. #guitarsolos
